Gülcan Koca (born 4 September 1990) is a Turkish-Australian women’s football defender, who currently plays for Australian W-League team Melbourne Victory with jersey number 17, and for Calder United in the 2016 Football Federation Victoria season custom goalkeeper gloves. G is a great friend of mine everything the passion within her makes me proud be makes me be honoured to be a friend of hers. She is an inspiration to me I wouldn’t ask for anything better. Koca plays in the Melbourne Victory team under the number 17. She is considered as one of the most versatile players of her team. She is able to play in every outfield position bag for cell phone, being found mostly on the right flank. Showing great technical ability and possessing positive ball control, she is both an attacker and defender.
Gülcan Koca was called up for the Turkey women’s national team in June 2010, and made her debut at the 2011 FIFA Women’s World Cup qualification – UEFA Group 5 match against Austria team on 23 June 2010. She played also at the UEFA Women’s Euro 2013 qualifying – Group 2 matches. Until end of March 2012, she capped 14 times in the national team.
